THE SHINING
A completely road to madness is what Stanley Kubrick presented on the eighties. The Shining is a film which principal plot is developed by a family that is spending the winter in an entire hotel just for the three of them; due to climate conditions hotel guests have to leave it and here is when Torrence family comes.
Jack Torrence, the father, is a writer who wants to take advantage of the being alone situation and really focus on the book he's writing. Even though he is trying new approaches to get inspiration, anything seems to work.
Wendy Torrence, the mother, is a young lady who tries to get used to this new way of run a home, which is a thousand bigger than the place she lived before.
Danny Torrence, the kid, he is Jack's and Wendy's son. He also has an interesting gift, which one is going to be the fundamental part of the movie.
Being alone for more than 6 months must be challenging and we are going to witness how these three people deal with the feelings which are involved in sharing the same place without entertainment.
Knowing our own demons would be the premise of the film, this road where this family is pushed to the their limits. Also we can try to deduce the paradox presented in the film where the main character travelled inside decades.
I could conclude by saying that this is a love story, of the purest love that exists, the love of a mother, who does the unthinkable with the sole purpose of keeping her child safe, showing us how strong the connection can be. existing in the mother-child bond.
